Grief is said to be the heart’s natural response to loss. These universal experiences can be devastating, confusing, overwhelming, and truly transformative. There is no way to avoid grief, but we do have choices about how we respond to finding ourselves in the landscape of grief.
By using mindfulness, we are able to bring kind presence and gentle awareness to our experiences, however small or large they might be. We know grief changes over time, sometimes moment-by-moment, and it is possible to be present to this ever shifting event.
In this 45-minute session, we explore how the practice of mindfulness can provide a foundation for navigating the inevitable losses we suffer in our lives.
This session also will include an opportunity for comments and questions, and a brief guided meditation suitable for all levels of experience.
